Abstract: | The present report drafted by the Expert Group on International Cooperation in Science and Technology presents and analyses the context for policy interventions to support international cooperation in non-EU countries (Part 1), the implementation instruments available at European level (Part 2) and the prospects and recommendations for the future (Part 3). The recommendations suggested confirm the strategic importance of linking the European Research Area to other parts of the world, and urge for the external dimension of ERA to be considered not as a separate policy, but as an integrated part of the activities carried out at both the national and European levels. |
