Abstract: This article will focus on the use of sand-on-glass animation in Zepo as a way to understand the film in relation to craft-based, or ‘handmade’ practices. The aesthetic such a method can produce in this case has a direct correlation with the subject matter in terms of innocence, vulnerablity, fear and isolation.
