Abstract: The buckling of perforated plates considering the effect of shear deformation is analyzed with the boundary element method. The geometrical non-linearity (GNL) effect included rotation derivatives (curvatures) as well as the deflection derivatives. The importance of the shear deformation in the buckling of perforated plates appeared with the increase of the plate thickness and the effect of curvatures becomes greater in large hole diameter cases.
