Forced-symmetry breaking occurs when a bifurcation equation changes its symmetry when a parameter varies. It is to be contrasted with the phenomena of spontaneous symmetry breaking when the symmetry of the equations are kept constant but the symmetry of the bifurcating solutions can change. In this work we classify the normal forms in the simplest possible forced symmetry-breaking situation, that of corank one. We use the Path Formulation approach for bifurcation problems.en
