| dc.description.abstract | This case study examines the development of a reusable packaging intervention in Banyuwangi, Indonesia, informed by transfer-learning from Alner’s operational reuse model in Jakarta. The case combines insights from a 2024 pilot in Banyuwangi with operational evidence from Jakarta and situates both within the wider regency-scale transition in waste and plastics management. The findings so far - from the pilot and from Jakarta - highlight the importance of price, convenience, trust, return effort and merchant mediation for uptake. The case study demonstrates how circular enterprise practice, place based governance and wider resource management systems can work together to support waste prevention, resource efficiency and local value creation. It is a UNRMS oriented case1 and offers transferable lessons for other lower and middle income contexts. | en_GB |
