Improvement of microstructure and mechanical property of Al–2Fe alloy though an in-situ reaction of Fe₂O₃ powder in Al–Mg melts See

Al–Fe based alloys exhibit excellent high heat-resistance property but suffer from low strength and hardness because the soft aluminum matrix is interrupted by coarse needle/flake-like Al₃Fe phases. To refine Al₃Fe phases and strengthen Al matrix, we developed an in-situ liquid-solid reactio...

低合金化镁合金熔化焊接组织调控的研究进展 See

Glocalization of consumer culture: An emerging pattern in the post-globalized world See

Purpose: The paper delves into the intricate and often contradictory nature of consumer identities in our modern landscape, where the rise of digital platforms reshapes how we engage with the world. It explores the implications of this dynamic environment on marketing strategies, reveal...

Ageing well with a lifelong disability: A scoping review See

Background and Objectives: Existing literature highlights notable health and social inequalities for people aging with a lifelong disability and the need for research to better understand how we can support this group to age well. This scoping review mapped existing literature re...

Mental health difficulties in cerebral palsy: A qualitative study of young people's and parents' perspectives See

Aim: To explore the experiences of mental health difficulties and access to mental health support among young people with cerebral palsy (CP). Method: We used a qualitative descriptive design. Participants were young people with CP aged 13 to 25 years and ...

Clinical impact of customised positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy interfaces (3DPiPPIn): a single site randomised controlled trial See

Introduction: Positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy is the recognised treatment for sleep disordered breathing (SDB), delivered via a tight-fitting face mask (interface). Conventional interfaces do not consider facial geometries, often resulting in poor fit and ineffective therapy. Three-dimensional (3D)&...

The Cerebral Palsy Link Worker (CP LINK) study: Protocol for a feasibility study with integrated process evaluation See

Background: Cerebral palsy (CP) is the most common lifelong physical disability in the UK and is linked to multiple social, psychological and health inequalities which are often amplified as this group ages. Most middle-aged and older people with CP are supported in their&#x...

Fine-tuning ERK activity enables proliferation-differentiation balance during lineage specification of human embryonic stem cells See

ERK is a key signaling mediator controlling both proliferation and lineage specification during embryo development. How ERK choreographs differentiation and proliferation to achieve balanced developmental outcomes in lineages with variable ERK activities remains unclear. To investigate this, we&#x...

Evaluation of variant calling algorithms for wastewater-based epidemiology using mixed populations of SARS-CoV-2 variants in synthetic and wastewater samples See

Wastewater-based epidemiology has been used extensively throughout the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 19) pandemic to detect and monitor the spread and prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2) and its variants. It has proven an excellent, complementary tool to cli...
