Abstract: | Recently Bratsberg & Rogeberg (2023) presented an analysis in Biology Letters of how cognitive ability is associated with fertility in Norwegian men. Our concern relates to the theoretical framework of this paper. The analysis is framed around the concept of ‘dysgenic fertility’, which is treated throughout as a scientific theory, but ‘dysgenic fertility’ is not science, it is an ideological concept. |
